Marketplace-E gets its official launch in Orlando

We rolled out Marketplace-E several months ago online, but the new selling solution got its official launch here at Orlando 2018. Matt Ackley, our Senior Vice President of Product Management and Digital, was in attendance to explain Marketplace-E to customers in the service tent.

We chatted with Matt on a Facebook Live session and he gave us the rundown on how you can buy or sell equipment either through Make Offer, Buy Now, and Reserve Auction formats. See for yourself.

Telematics gives customers another reason to buy Cat equipment

Our strategic alliance with Caterpillar is already paying dividends for customers. In Orlando, Caterpillar pre-selected approximately 200 Cat equipment items and activated them with telematics devices. Along with the free devices, the buyer of the items receives a free subscription that allows them to monitor machine data to better manage their fleet, including machine hours, location, events, event severity, idle/working hours and fuel burn.

All the buyer has to do to activate the free telematics service is to contact their local Cat dealer after purchasing the machine.
